Looking good for the weekend

3 Mountain Logo

We received 8 inches of new snow in the past 24 hours, 14 inches in the past 48 hours, and 26 inches in the past week. Patrol was busy today dropping ropes on Full Nelson, Pipeline Escape, Harvey’s Hideaway, Jolly Rodger, and Black Snake. Our snowmakers have also been busy on Lower Rumrunner, Sir Henry’s Learning Hill, Howie’s Wanderer, and Magic learning Trail. Lower Rumrunner will be groomed tonight and open tomorrow. Snowmaking operations continue on Morse Mountain. Tomorrow we plan to have the Sterling Lift operating. We now have 20 trails open with terrain for intermediates and experts. We plan to have Smugglers’ Alley, Upper Rumrunner, Treasure Run, Crossover, and Lower Exhibition groomed for tomorrow. Surface conditions are packed powder and powder with average base depths of 8 to 40 inches. Currently it is cloudy and 7 degrees at the summit of Sterling. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for cloudy skies with scattered snow showers early, becoming partly sunny later, with a high of 17 degrees at the summit and 21 degrees at the base.
