Moonlight in Vermont

3 Mountain Logo

This photo was taken Sunday, January 12th. We received 2 inches of new snow on top overnight. Today we have skiing and riding on all 3 mountains. 5 lifts are operating, Village, Sterling, Madonna 2, Mogul Mouse’s Magic, and Sir Henry’s Glider. We have 42 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 20 trails have been groomed for today, including Midway, McPherson’s, Smugglers’ Alley, Meadowlark, and Treasure Run for a total of 112 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are packed powder and machine groomed with average base depths of 12 to 42 inches. Currently, it is cloudy and 18 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 5 to 10 mph. Today’s forecast is calling for cloudy skies, snow showers late in the day half an inch of accumulation possible, with a high of 28 degrees at the base and 23 degrees at higher elevations. Black Snake will be closed today from the top of Harvey’s Hideaway down due to a ski race. Snake Bite and the Practice Slope are also closed for the race. You can still access Parking Lot #1 from Lower Exhibition across Practice Slope. Please stop and look uphill when crossing the race course to make sure it is clear.
