Today’s high winds kept many of our lifts on hold, except for Morse Highlands and Sir Henry’s Glider. The Highlands area is a hidden gem with beginner and intermediate terrain. Log Jam, Hibernator, and Dixie’s Knoll are nice beginner trails. Timberrr! is also a beginner trail, but it is a little tougher and not always groomed. Evaporator is an intermediate trail at Highlands with fun contours. Let’s not forget the glades, which I always enjoy. We received 3 inches of new snow in the past 24 hours and 37 inches in the past week. Currently, it is cloudy and 4 degrees at the summit of Sterling. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for cloudy skies, a chance of a snow shower a half inch of accumulation, west winds of 32 to 37 mph, a high of 6 degrees at the base and 0 degrees at higher elevations. Bundle up and enjoy the wonderful conditions. These could affect lift operations tomorrow. Please check the report in the morning for the most up-to-date information. Weather permitting, tomorrow we plan to have top-to-bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 6 lifts operating, including the Madonna 1 lift. We have 76 out of 78 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 38 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Drifter, Ruthie’s, Snow Snake, Curley’s Cutback, Thomke’s Express, and Smugglers’ Alley for 198 acres of freshly groomed terrain.
