The sunshine and light winds made for a wonderful day on the slopes! This morning was a little cool, but it did not take long for the sun to work its magic. I went snowboarding early this morning on Morse. I had so much fun carving up the fresh corduroy! I then switched over to skis and headed for the upper mountains. I enjoyed cruising on Black Snake, Rumrunner, Treasure, Lower Exhibition, and the Practice Slope. We have snow in the forecast for tonight with 2 to 4 inches possible. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for another 1 to 3 inches of new snow, windy with a high 12 degrees at the base and 7 degrees at higher elevations. Bundle up and delight in the fantastic conditions! Tomorrow we plan to have 7 lifts operating, including Madonna 1 on 3 big mountains. We have 77 out of 78 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are packed powder and machine groomed with average base depths of 14 to 52 inches. 36 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Drifter, Harvey’s Hideaway, Snow Snake, Sam’s Run, Thomke’s, and the skier’s right on Upper FIS for a total of 186 acres of freshly groomed terrain.
