Clear skies today with snowmaking rainbows and a snowstorm tomorrow. There is a Winter Weather Advisory starting in the morning. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for periods of snow with 2 to 4 inches of accumulation possible, windy with a high of 28 degrees at the base and 27 degrees at higher elevations. Tomorrow we plan to have top-to-bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 6 lifts operating, including the Madonna 1 Lift. We have 75 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are packed powder and powder with average base depths of 14 to 44 inches. 30 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including skier’s right of Upper FIS, Snow Snake, Log Jam, Smugglers’ Alley, and McPherson’s for a total of 160 acres of freshly groomed terrain. We are presently making snow on Lower Morse Liftline. Currently, it is 3 degrees at the summit of Sterling with clear skies and winds of 10 to 20 mph.
