Spring is in full swing at Smugglers’ Notch, and we’re soaking up every bit of sunshine, mountain air, and family fun. Whether you’re joining us for a getaway or dreaming of your next adventure, here’s what’s blooming around the resort this week:
🌼 New Week, New Schedule!
Starting Monday, April 14, we’ll transition to our spring activity schedule with updated hours, a few seasonal closures, and continued programming to help you make the most of your stay. This week includes TWO versions of the Activity & Facility Guide:
- One for April 11 – 13 and
- One for April 14 – June 12
You’ll find all the details in the new Activity & Facility Guide, but here are a few highlights:
- 📅 FunZone 2.0 stays open Friday–Sunday (11:00 am–7:00 pm)—perfect for weekend energy burn!
- 🛍️ Sport Shop (3 Mountain Outfitters) will be closed April 14–16 for inventory.
- 🏊 Lap Swim & Aqua Fitness continue at the Courtside Pool—a great way to stretch, splash, and stay active. Aqua Fitness runs Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 10:15 am.

🎶 End of Ski Season Reggae Party at Lot 6 Brewing – Wrap up the winter season with good vibes and great tunes! Join the fun on Sunday, April 13, from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm with DJ Niceness spinning reggae beats all afternoon. Cold brews, mountain views, and island rhythms—yes, please!
👋 Start Your Week the Smuggs Way: Welcome Orientation
New to the Resort? Or just looking to make the most of your stay? Join us for the Welcome Orientation on Monday from 10:30 am to 11:30 am in the Meeting House—open to all ages and all levels of Smuggs know-how. Our friendly resort team will give you the inside scoop on weekly activities, special programs, and family-favorite tips. It’s the perfect way to map out your fun, ask questions, and get excited for the days ahead.
🎨 Kid-Approved Fun Indoors
Rain or shine, there’s never a dull moment. From splash time at the Courtside Pool to climbing, sliding, and bouncing their way through FunZone 2.0, kids of all ages love every minute. Pro tip: The giant inflatable slide? Still a total hit.
🎵 Music, Bingo & a Bit of Pirate Magic
From acoustic sets at the Meeting House to Rockin’ Ron’s Friendly Pirate adventures, our weekly lineup is full of fun for every generation. Musical Bingo Monday? You bet. Haunted History Wednesday? Don’t miss it. Friendly Pirate Sing-Along Tuesday? A family favorite!
🎤 Live Acoustic Music
Ease into the evening with relaxing acoustic sets at the Meeting House. Grab a seat, bring the kids, and let the music set the tone. Monday & Wednesday, 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
🎨 Jewelry Making (Offered Daily, Monday – Friday)
For a hands-on creative experience, head to the Vermont Jewelry School (just 3.5 miles from Smuggs)! Sessions run twice daily, and guests ages 9 & older can craft a sparkling keepsake to remember their vacation. Preregistration required.
⛷️ One Last Ride – Spring Turns Wrap Up This Weekend!
It’s been an unforgettable season on the slopes, and we’re getting ready to give it a proper send-off! This weekend marks the final days of lift-served skiing and riding for the 2024–25 winter season.
- 🎿 Sterling Lift is open now through Closing Day, Sunday 4/13
- 🏔️ Madonna I Lift will operate Saturday 4/12 & Sunday 4/13 only

🍽️ Dining at Smuggs & Beyond
As we transition into the spring season, Morse Mountain Grille will serve its last meals of the season on Sunday, April 13. So be sure to stop for one more round of their hearty breakfasts or mountain-fresh lunches this weekend! But don’t worry—your culinary adventure doesn’t end there! Here are a few local favorites just a short drive from the Resort that families love:
- Lot 6 – Elevated comfort food in a cozy setting with a creative twist. Great for date night or a family dinner with style. Don’t skip the house-made desserts!
- The Village Tavern – A welcoming, laid-back spot just down the road—perfect for hearty meals, local brews, and a casual night out. Families, groups, and solo travelers all feel right at home here.
