We are presently making snow on Practice Slope, Snake Bite, and Black Snake. We received 2 inches of new snow overnight, 5 inches in the past 48 hours, and 16 inches in the past 3 days. We have 5 lifts operating today, Madonna 2, Village, Mogul Mouse’s Magic, Sterling, and Sir Henry’s Glider. We now have 26 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Ski Patrol just dropped the ropes on Lower Pipeline and Hangman’s. 15 trails have been groomed for today, including Smugglers’ Alley, Meadowlark, Midway, and Lower Chilcoot. Surface conditions are packed powder and machine groomed with average base depths of 10 to 40 inches. Currently, it is snowing and 1 degree at the summit of Sterling with winds of 10 to 20 mph. Today’s forecast is calling for snow showers 1 to 2 inches of accumulation possible, and breezy, with a high of 15 degrees at the base and 8 degrees at higher elevations. Bundle up and enjoy the new snow!
