Winter wonderland

3 Mountain Logo

The month of January did not disappoint! There were only 6 days that we did receive new snow and we ended up with a monthly total of 96 inches! We had nice cool temperatures all month long which kept the snow in great shape. It really has been building up and the conditions are just wonderful. Tomorrow we plan to have top-to-bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with all 8 lifts operating. We have 75 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are packed powder and machine groomed with average base depths of 14 to 44 inches. 34 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Smugglers’ Alley, Dixie’s Knoll, Upper FIS, Snow Snake, Drifter, and Thomke’s for a total of 176 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Currently, it is cloudy and 24 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 5 to 10 mph. We could see an inch of new snow overnight. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for partly sunny skies, breezy with a high of 4 degrees at the base and 1 degree at higher elevations. Temperatures will be falling throughout the day. Bundle up and enjoy the fantastic conditions!
