Winter Adventures at McGovern Lodge
Welcome to the winter wonderland of McGovern Lodge, where chilly days transform into exhilarating adventures! Immerse yourself in a snowy paradise with our diverse lineup of activities, ranging from the soothing Soup & Snowshoes Trek to the thrilling Haunted History Walk, where tales of the past come to life under the moonlit winter skies. Encounter the majestic Siberian Sled Dogs and learn about their fascinating world in an interactive experience like no other. McGovern Lodge is your gateway to a season of warmth, excitement, and memories—come explore the magic with us!
Open Thursday – Saturday 10:30 am – 3:30 pm Stop in on your ski or Snowshoe trek to visit McGovern Lodge, located at 1239 Edward’s Road. There is parking available or you can take the Resort Shuttle. Also accessible off of the Country Road or Woody’s trail. Warm up with a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Restrooms are available. Meet the Siberian Sled Dogs
Wednesday 1:00 pm & Saturday 3:00 pm Join Siber Sled Dogs for an educational and interactive experience at McGovern Lodge, guests will enjoying learning about the dogs, meeting them and taking photos with them. $20 per person. Pre-registration is required for all attendees, adult or youth.
Haunted History Walk
Wednesday 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm Explore historically based spooky tales! Join Rockin' Ron, the Friendly Pirate, for a nighttime walk through winter woods and captivating storytelling at McGovern Lodge. $10 per person includes a lantern and microspikes. Recommended for ages 10 & older. Preregistration is required for this chilling adventure.
Moonlight Mile
Friday 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm Please join us at the Nordic Center for a xc ski or snowshoe trek along a woodland torch-lit trail out to McGovern Lodge. $20 per person includes equipment. $10 if you have your own equipment. Beginning December 22.
Soup & Snowshoe Trek
Saturday 11:30 am – 1:30 pm Enjoy a guided trek through the woods out to our cozy cabin, McGovern Lodge. Warm up and head back to the Nordic Center where you'll be met with a bowl of fresh, hearty soup. $45 per person. Equipment provided. Trek begins on December 23, weather permitting. Preregistration is required.
